Wirelessly integrated wine stoppers to monitor wine quality of opened wine
Have you ever reached for a bottle of wine and you can't quite remember when you opened it? You think it was the last few days, but just can't be sure?
At Sipple we want to solve this problem of people not finishing and pouring away wines, and at a deeper level understand the reasons and timings of those decisions that make people waste wine. We want people to learn their habits so they only ever savour their wines. Sipple is a connected wine ecosystem made up of a wirelessly enabled physical bottle stopper and two mobile apps.
The wirelessly integrated wine stopper both keeps your wine fresh and reminds you to drink any currently open bottles. The stopper will be a desirable product that catches the eye in the living room, or kitchen and be a talking point among friends.
The bottle stopper detects the remaining wine in a bottle, extracts the necessary air from the bottle and wirelessly updates the Sipple app. The app sets how much wine remains in a bottle, and when to drink it by. Wine habits can be tracked and the app will also offer up recommendations of other wines to sample. A second app, Sipple Cellar will focus on the cellaring of wine with reminders set years into the future based on vineyard recommendations.
Sipple revolutionises the wine experience by connecting an ancient craft to a modern consumer who want personalisation and insights with the products and experiences they enjoy.
